Anyway -off to Jerome manana to meet up with the Clancy Earls.  Can't wait to eat at our all time fav restaurant - Grapes-

Poor Baby Babbitt

So, I was teaching cubscouts today.  We were all gathered around the table talking about civic duty.  Each boy went around the table and said who they wanted for President in the upcoming election.  One boy let us know that Obama was dumb.  I asked him why and he said because I like McCain.  We discussed how we can disagree with someones policy making, but can still like them.  Another boy said, "my dad is glad that woman isn't going to win because she was against guns."

Okay, so at this point I'm thinking (I am soooo glad that I have the opportunity to enlighten these young minds!)

But just as this thought was going through my large brain - Baby Babbitt up and falls off her chair.  She did a belly flop straight onto the floor and landed on her baby brain.

I pick her up

her eyes roll to the back of her head and she goes limp

I run with her - grabbing my keys / shoes / purse

While running yelling - Carter get in the car - boys call your moms and tell them to come and get you.

(Mind you I completely forgot about Number 2 and 3 - Seriously, I left them at home)

Got into the car.  Put Baby in Carter's arms in the backseat - and drove like.. like.... i never drive fast - so this was new for me.  I don't even know how I was able to drive and keep looking in the backseat

At one point I look in the backseat and baby is staring at me glassy eyed and wasn't moving her eyes.  I was so scared.

I kept asking Carter to talk to her and keep her awake.  He was really amazing.

The most amazing part.  Half way to the hospital she came out of it and was jumping around the car and laughing.

The Captain met us in a parking lot and said he thought we should go home and watch her.  I agreed.  We called doctor friends and received some more advice.  We are so happy baby Babbitt is okay.  It has now been three hours and so far so good!!

Babies and the handicapped

So, The babies are great!  Kim's headaches have gone away! All seems well.   I picked up Uncle Danny this morning.  I was letting him know how old he was - and you know what he said,
"Do the Math Jen"
I said,"Danny I did."
He Said," Jen you suck at math"

That hurts - I mean truly.  So math is not my forte; yet having the mentally handicap point it out stings just a little.

Anyway - off to take him swimming again.  He still thinks his swim shorts are invisible when they are on;  it is harder getting him to put those shorts on than weening a 2yr old off a bottle.  He just told the woman standing behind us at the grocery store that his head looks like a woman is giving birth to him.  (What does that mean?) It is always fun to go out in public with Danny!!

The Hills are Alive with Pirates

So many of you have inquired about why the Captain is "The Captain".  Obviously, it is because he used to be a pirate.  I don't understand why many of you are so conveniently forgetting that era of his life.  Pirates are people too.

The other less obvious reason is - - - I LOVE the Sound of Music.  Gayoug - oh Gayoug.   No, the Captain does not wear Austrian, peterpan collared suits - nor does he burst out into song at random.  Yet he does not balk when I make the kids duds out of the curtains, and he makes me want to run away from time to time.

So - those of you (Nate's friends and my sister) that don't understand the name, I suggest you go and have your spouse name you.  He are some options:

-Tony - I just love the thought of using an Italian accent - yelling through the house "Tony - get your butt in here - dinnar is ready"
-Michael Knight - I don't know about you, but he was and IS always gonna be hot.  If you go with this option I'm thinken you may need to name your mode of transportation.
-Rev (insert name) - maybe for the inner rapper? Rev Bob (Bob is always a cool name)
-Jade - Okay - one of The Captains mission comps named him Jade.  I think you may have to have a very confident personality to carry this one off.
-Maverick - This is for the guy who Really wants to wear the pants in the family, but it's never gonna happen.  This name may just give him hope - hope is always good.

And now to my sista
B. Reeder  ---This name is sooooo P Diddy/Puffy/Puff/ Diddy/Daddy.  Think about it - Close to the time of having the liter it is perfect.  A couple of years later drop the B.  or Breed/Reed/Bre/der.  How cool is this name!!!!

(I would like to thank #3 for the picture contribution.  Her little dig camera from Santa adds cool features like the above)

I don't know if you knew this, but we love.........BOB.  Top 5 reasons we love BOB.
(compiled by The Captain and his woman)

5.  He has been called "peanut" before. The rest of that story can not be talked about openly.
4.  Bob knows how to split a good LOG.
3.  We love Bob; because everybody loved Bob in high school.  I mean EVERYBODY LOVED BOB in high school.
2. Bob always loves to "Park It" (Vegas reference)
1. He used to date my wife.

Carter had Colten over to play rockband.  The Captain enjoyed it as well - Check out the lean back move -  I think........he was even singing.  "enter light - enter night - take my hand.....we're off to never never land"  odd isn't it.

Aliens have landed - we have proof

Number 3 started Kindergarten this week.  Remember how the last 5 1/2 years of her life she has never wanted to do anything - go anywhere - unless I was with her.  Remember how she doesn't like anyone and is prone to strangling other children.  Remember how she calls other kids names - hits - bites - says mean and unkind things?
Okay - it all stopped on Saturday.  She went to Sunday school(by herself) She came home and offered to help with dinner, AND she has gone to school (happy) for the last four days. She has made friends - called one of them today after school.  She told us she just taps the kid on the shoulder that she wants to meet. ( Are you kidding me?)
So, the only conclusion we can arrive at is ...........Aliens have possessed her body.

First Day of School - YEAH!!!!

Number 3 was absolutely amazing today.  She lead Dad to her room and went inside all by herself.  We really didn't expect this to happen, but are overjoyed that the day has come and the big event went so well.
Number 1 and 2 are so good.  They both knew where to go and took off ahead of us to go to their rooms.  They are so brave going to a new school.
Number 4 came home and as you can see she is MILKING the attention.  (hardy har har) Seriously, it is like she was meant to be an only child.  She is laying on the couch watching Handy Manny and letting me know what she may need.... Blankee. crackers, water, her animals.  She is Loven it!!
Way to go everyone - Success.

I'm in love with a car

How cool is this car.  The interior is Red and Black - seriously awesome.  Even for someone who owns a BMW business and doesn't "Get " cars  - I can even drool on this one.

THE Ferrari

No, not a BMW.  Yes, number 1 is sitting behind the wheel.  He overheard me on the phone with the Captain and had me drive him over to the shop IMMEDIATELY.  Okay - so I know a lot of men fancy this one, but I am just not into it.  Instead - lets feed a small country for a couple of months.  Anyone?

Yes, the Captain has returned.  He took a little jaunt up to St. George with his Buddy - Jason.  We are so happy for him to be home.  Number 4 decided to run 104% temp while he was away.  Thank goodness for Miss Sue and Krystal - the emergency room trip wasn't so bad.  Turns out in the end it was her teeth.  And I call myself a mother of four -kapooie.  Number 4 is slightly sensitive.  WOW.
Number 3 met her teacher today.  Good news - the teacher said that the principal will be available the first day to hold her in a vise grip while I dart out the door.  This is so comforting since nbr 3 likes to bolt from the room - run across moving traffic - yelling "mommmmm don't leave meeeeee" Ishikawa is awesome!!!

(Throw up noises!!!!) BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING

We start off at the used kids store - trying to aquire shoes on the cheap. Ding - pick up a brand new (like) pair of gangsta shoes for Carter. He LOVES them and yet doesn't look like he is packing heat. Score again two pairs of Abercrombie shorts for him - $8.00 each. I hope that is really good because I don't actually wander into Abercrombie. (the clothes there look like they are made for Little people - or girls who are trying to get pregnant) On a side note - serious chaffing right - shorts that small for a regular size person have got to ride up Yuck.
Off to the mall for first day of school outfits. Okay the older everyone gets the harder this is. And since when did my fashion flare become the opposite of what ALL of my kids like. Really, I pick out a shirt and they walk away - they pick something out and I want to vomit. So, we finally came to the conclusion that they could wear 80s puke, as long as, it is modest. This took 2 hours.
Lastly, Target. Seemingly an easy visit - right - no no no!!! Found the rest of the cheap shoe purchases. And may I say Number 2 has a perfect pair of Geoxx at home, but doesn't care for them. See what I mean about taste. I thought number 2 had some style - I am losing hope. Anyway, I really didn't give in - I gave the "this $20 could feed a child in a 3rd world country for 2 weeks" speech. It worked for 7 minutes. Finished in Target with the binders / folders / crayons / etc... Just getting through the check out line is always a bother!!! but today - after shopping for some crazy amount of time and I turned into the "I have no more patience - so I will just not hear all of the screaming/crying/yelling anymore. I am in a vegetative state - I am a zombie"
I am home now and am hiding in my room. I need my happy place for at least 2 hours before I can communicate with other humans. out later

Afternoon with the Zadroznys

A and auntie K came for a visit today.  Everyone is VERY excited for S and S.  Paige is guessing 1 1/2 weeks from now.  I am guessing 3 weeks.  Ellie says" 2months cause thats when my school is starting."  Since she is 31 weeks I don't think it will be too much longer.
This was A's first taste of Jello.  We think he enjoyed it.
