HISTORY

Dear Children:

Tonight is election night. This is one of those nights that none of us will ever forget. There are so many things that will happen in this world that are not kind or good. I am sorry this happens. But tonight was not one of those nights. Tonight was perfect.

Tonight Barack Obama became President. I am so proud that people have come so far. I was fortunate enough to grow up not knowing any prejudice. I hope that you can have that same experience. Watching his speech tonight gave dad and I goosebumps.

Dad kept saying "This is a historic night. I can't believe this."

I cried - a lot.

Grandma made election cake. It was super good and has quite the historic significance. ( Why the crap do I have an apron on in every picture? What is wrong with me - do I spill That much?)
